The Newton FFA team of Tyler Guy, Colin Cummins, Wes McElroy, and Landon Menninga was named state champion in the Iowa FFA Ag Mechanics Career Development Event. The team was led by Guy as ninth place individual.
This contest tests members’ knowledge in the areas of electrical systems, environment systems, machinery and equipment systems, metals and welding, and structural systems. They were also the high team in the areas of electrical systems, environmental systems, and structural systems. These members will represent the state of Iowa at the National FFA Convention in November.
