Library Book Sale

$10 Early Access Night: May 2, 5 – 7 p.m.

Regular Book Sale: May 3 & 4, 9 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Pick up some great books while supporting your library at our Spring Book Sale! Cash and personal check will be accepted. A $10 donation gets you early access to the sale on the evening of May 2, from 5 - 7 p.m. There is no entry fee on May 3 & 4. Proceeds from the sale go towards funding the new library roof. We appreciate your support!

Gory Stories Book Club

May 1, noon

Do you love true crime? Bring your lunch and join other true crime addicts to share our favorite podcasts, documentaries, books, and more! The May book selection is, “The Grim Sleeper” by Christine Pelisek. Copies of the book can be picked up at the library information desk.

Introvert Book Club

Want to join a book club but just don’t have the time for a regular meeting? This is the book club for you! Each month there’s a new book selection, but there’s never a meeting. Pick up your copy of the book of the month at the library information desk. The May selection is “Beatrix Potter: A Life in Nature” by Linda Lear.

Blues Under the Blue Roof May 8, 5 p.m.

Join musician, Rob Lumbard, for a live blues music concert at the library! This event is free to attend and will be held inside the library meeting room. Music lovers of all ages are welcome to attend. This program is sponsored by the Arts Connection, South Skunk Blues Society, and the Newton Public Library Foundation.

Spring Plant Swap

June 9, noon – 2 p.m.

Pick up something green at our spring plant swap! Drop off your extra or unwanted plants at the library June 6-8 and pick up a swap ticket for each plant you bring in. Donations may include houseplants, flowers, vegetables, perennials, and annuals. Bring your tickets back on June 9 between noon-2 p.m. to exchange them for new plants to take home!
