Constituents speak with elected leaders Sen. Ken Rozenboom, Rep. Jon Dunwell and Newton City Council member Evelyn George during the League of Women Voters of Jasper County’s legislative gathering March 18 at the Newton Public Library. The last gathering of the season was well-attended by folks who wanted to ask questions and share concerns with their legislators.

While past issues like education and gun violence were talked about briefly, other topics like property taxes, the bills affecting transgender youth and the carbon pipeline, in addition to specific House and Senate files, were heavily discussed.
