Life flight called in for vehicle, tractor accident

One person was life flighted to an area hospital following a vehicle and tractor accident on Highway 14 south of Newton. Jasper County dispatch received at call at 11:03 a.m. Oct. 15 about the incident.

According to dispatch, the driver of the vehicle was taken by life flight. Additional details on the accident are not yet available.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol and Newton Fire Department responded to the scene. Traffic has been diverted from the accident.
