Shirley Williams, 93, of Newton, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center.
Shirley, the daughter of Glen and Iva Mae (Pentico) Harper, was born Oct. 26, 1927, in Jasper County. She was united in marriage with O.B. Williams. Shirley enjoyed reading and doing word searches.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Penny Latham of Newton; grandchildren, Daniel Mahon of Newton and Stacy Mahon of Lovelock, Nev.; her great-grandson, Douglas Ray Mahon; and siblings, Marcella (Joseph) Frenn of Shalimar, Fla., Ralph Harper of Corvallis, Or., and Norman (Brenda) Harper of Wenatchee, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, O.B. Williams.
