Taste of the Fair Food Events to be at state fairgrounds

DES MOINES — Even though we can't be together for the Iowa State Fair this year, we can safely join together to get a taste of what we will be missing. The Iowa State Fair, along with our food vendors, are excited to host two 2020 Taste of the Fair weekends, July 24-26 and July 31-Aug. 2.

Taste of the Fair, Weekend 1 (July 24-26)

4 to 9 p.m. July 24

11 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 25

11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 26

Taste of the Fair, Weekend 2 (July 31-Aug 2)

4 to 9 p.m. July 31

11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 1

11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 2

Each weekend will feature 20 Iowa State Fair food vendors in the main midway/Thrill Ville area near the north parking lot off University Avenue. Vendors will be serving up your deep fried, on a stick, piled high, fair favorites.

The events will be following all social distancing guidelines and watching crowd numbers, admission and parking is free.
