Deborah Lynn Danielson, loving wife, mother, sister, nana and great nana passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, in Wilmington, N.C., from complications of cancer.
Deborah was born March 1, 1953, to Robert C. Allen and Virginia Parks in Des Moines. Deborah grew up in Newton and graduated mid-term from Newton High School. She attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Deborah loved traveling the world and lived in England, Texas, Iowa, Nebraska and the last five years of her life in Wilmington, N.C. Deborah’s passion was selling real estate for 30 plus years. She worked for First Realty, Iowa Realty and eventually went on to own several RE/MAX franchises. In her free time, Deb loved anything to do with the ocean; fishing, boating and crabbing. Deb found relaxation in cooking, dehydrating and canning. Deb was also an avid arts and crafts lady, often selling her goods at local farmer’s markets. While living in Iowa, she entered her jellies and jams in the Iowa State Fair competition and won many ribbons. Deb found spending time with her beloved family and friends the most rewarding, however.
She leaves behind her husband, Carl Danielson Jr.; her daughter, Krista Jackson;, stepchildren, Christina Pershing (husband Allen) and Vance Danielson (wife Amanda); grandchildren, Kamren Stephens, Hunter Schepper, Savannah Harvey (husband Jake), A.J. Pershing, Trevor Pershing and Rayce Danielson; great-grandchildren Harlee Harvey and Hayden Harvey; brother, William Hansen (wife Angie); sisters, Diane Plumb (husband Larry) and Lori Costello (husband Mark). Deb is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Allen (father), Virgina Parks (mother), Ruth Allen (step mother); Richard Hansen (brother); and Andrew Jackson (son-in-law).
A celebration of her life begin at 2 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Christian Church, 321 Bolton St., Kellogg, Iowa 50135.
