Northwest downtown parking lot reconstruction begins Sept. 3

TK Concrete will start construction on the northwest parking lot at West Third Street North and North Second Avenue West in downtown Newton beginning Sept. 3. The parking lot, adjacent alleys and on-street parking stalls will be closed to allow for reconstruction; the project should last six weeks.

Parking is available in the city-owned parking lot near DMACC at West Fourth Street North and North Second Avenue West.
