Kevin “Todd” Bishop

Kevin “Todd” Bishop, formerly of Newton passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospital with family by his side.

Todd was born on Nov. 16, 1955 in Newton to parents Ronald and Judy Bishop. He was a graduate of Newton Senior High class of 1974. Following school, he worked in the service department at Campers & Marine Unlimited in Newton. Later, Todd was employed for many years in the lumber and building supplies business. He married Zoe Carter Bishop on June 25, 1983 and they had two sons, Dylan and Tanner.

Todd was an Iowa Hawkeye fan and attended many football games at Kinnick Stadium. He enjoyed watching sprint car races at Knoxville and the Eddyville drag races.

Todd is survived by his sons, Dylan (Cassie) Bishop and Tanner Bishop, both of Castle Rock, Colo.; siblings Joni Bishop of Wake Forest, N.C., Jill (Tom) Eaton of Marshalltown, Jana (David) Clevenger of Point Pleasant, N.J. and Phillip (Staci) Bishop of Urbandale; uncle Barron Jones of Newton and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
