DMACC spring semester foundation scholarships

Des Moines Area Community College students from the Newton area have received scholarships from the DMACC Foundation for the spring semester.

The recipients include:

Emily Acord of Baxter, respiratory therapy, received $1,000 Health Sciences scholarship.

Logan Chandler of Newton, liberal arts, received the $1,000 Lou B. McLain scholarship.

Courtney Claussen of Newton, nursing associate degree, received a $500 Alan B. Murray Memorial scholarship.

Charity Dangelser of Newton, liberal arts, received $1,500 The Bennett Family scholarship.

Megan Hiemstra of Newton, accounting specialist, received a $1,000 Lou B. McLain scholarship.

Brittney Johnson of Newton, dental hygiene, received a $1,000 Lou B. McLain scholarship.

Jacob Knoll of Newton, financial administration, received the $500 Alan B. Murray Memorial scholarship.

Serenity Stier of Newton, human services, received a $1,000 Lou B. McLain scholarship.
