Judy A. Jenkins, 72, of Monroe, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 at the Monroe United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Silent City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. The daughter of Raymond and Betty (Phifer) Kane, Judy was born Aug. 16, 1946, in Monroe. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1965. She was united in marriage to Daniel Jenkins in March of 1966 at the Methodist Church. Judy worked as a cook at Maid Rite in Monroe. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and cooking.
Those left to honor her memory include her two children, Eric (Kim) Jenkins and Deb (Gary Ford) Meyer; grandchildren, Dane (Molly) Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins, Colten Jenkins, Reid Jenkins, Karsin Jenkins, Justin Meyer, Cole Meyer and Preston Ford; two brothers, Paul (Gloria) Kane and Dennis (Linda) Kane; her ex-son-in-law, David Meyer; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Judy in death were her parents, Raymond and Betty; and her husband, Dan, in 1974.
