Adam Wade Neff

Adam Wade Neff was born Sept. 19, 1967, to Dwight and Karen (Mahon) Neff, in Des Moines. Adam died unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 31, 2018.

Adam attended Monroe schools, was a 1986 graduate of PCM High School and was a welder at Vermeer Manufacturing until his illness. He was diagnosed with chronic Q fever in June 2009. On May 11, 2014, he underwent a liver transplant at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Adam had a heart of gold to anyone that truly knew him. He was a friend that was always there for you. Adam enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping and was one heck of a cook. He loved spending a whole day smoking meat down at the cabin.

Adam leaves behind the love of his life, Teresa Kendall Neff. Together they were blessed with three children, Tyler Neff, Chase (Caitlin) Neff and Paige Neff (Jordan Pleima). Chase and Caitlin recently welcomed baby Greyson to the family. He is also survived by his parents, Dwight and Karen Neff; brother, Nathan (Amanda) Neff; sister, Cindy (Robby) Wilson; nieces, Julianna, Morgan, Lainy and Lori; and nephews, Seth, Landen, Gavin and Dylan. Adam was preceded in death by his nephew, Josh VanHeukelom; and uncle, Gordon Dingeman.

Adam will deeply be missed by all of his friends and family.

A funeral service was Monday, Jan. 7 at the Third Reformed Church in Pella. The Garden Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. ​
