John Scott Kuhns

John Kuhns, 66, of Monroe, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

John was born in Des Moines, to Bill and Rose Jean Kuhns. He graduated from Dowling High School in 1970. He retired from GTE/Verizon as a telephone repairman.

John is survived by his wife, Carey; his children, Jack (Leslie) and Kate; granddaughters, Delaney, Sophia and Harper; sister, Pattie (Jeff) Kennedy; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A private service was held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family so they can be used towards an education fund for his granddaughters.

John is loved.​
