Larry, the son of Harold and Nola (Daugherty) Ingle, was born Jan. 13, 1942, in Bondurant. As a young boy he moved to Newton, where he would live the rest of his life. He worked for Thomberts, Parsons, Windpower and later returned as a supervisor at Thomberts, where he retired from in 2004. He was active in the Cowboy Church and had also attended Community Heights Alliance Church. Larry was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. He also loved looking for a good deal at an auction or yard sale. Larry never met a stranger and was one of the most sharing and giving men you would ever meet. He was a one of a kind grandpa and many of the grandkids lovingly referred to him as “Grandpa Candy” because he always had candy for them.
