More than 7 grams of methamphetamine and 13 grams of marijuana were seized from a Newton residence during a Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force search.
Daniel L. Lee, 52, of Newton, was arrested on six charges including intent to deliver following the search at 6:45 p.m. Sunday at 400 N. Second Ave. E. Unit 19.
MINE Task Force detectives conducted an investigation and obtained a valid search warrant for the residence and those known to be living there. Along with the methamphetamine and marijuana, multiple prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, more than $600 and a significant amount of rare coins were found.
Lee was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail where he was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, failure to affix drug tax stamp (methamphetamine), multiple prescription medication violations and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Along with the MINE Task Force, the Newton Police Department assisted with the execution of the search warrant.
Lee is currently being held on a $50,300 bond.
