Penny Jo Docekal

Penny Jo Swihart Docekal, 65, of rural Baxter, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

A private family internment will be at a later date at the McKeever Cemetery in rural Colfax. Memorials to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League and Humane Society may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add, Attn: Docekal Family on the envelope.

Those left to cherish Penny’s memory are her son, Shawn Docekal of Marshalltown; two grandchildren, Daniel Docekal and Erica Docekal; her mother, Dee (Hubert “Butch”) Clark of Newton; and brother, Terry (Barb) Swihart of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
