Gordon Hans Anderson

Gordon Anderson, 82, passed away Monday, Feb. 5, 2018. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway. The family will host a celebration Saturday evening at a location to be announced.

Gordon retired from State Farm in 2000. A kind man, always willing to help and who never met a stranger, Gordon will be greatly missed by his wife of 60 years, Doris; his sons, Gordy (Sue) and Dave (Diane); grandchildren, Stacy Anderson, Jon (Michelle) Anderson, Heather (Luis) Reyes and Dylan Anderson; great-grandchildren, Ethan Anderson and Alex and Nicolas Reyes; his sisters, Karna (Ron) Forbes and Kathryn (Lenny Helfgott) Anderson; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
