Race fans can whet their appetites for the 2017 racing season at Iowa Speedway on Tuesday and Wednesday. Rookies from the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will be on the Iowa Speedway track for testing both days.
This is a free event and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Viewing will be from RV Hill on the backstretch. Fans are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, food and drinks as the concourse and grandstands will not be opened for the test.
The testing is to help the five rookies prepare for the NCWTS Iowa 200 on June 23 at the Speedway. The five drivers will gain valuable seat time at The Fastest Short Track on the Planet. Three of the five drivers are NASCAR Next members.
Drivers expected to be on the track for testing are Austin Cindric in the No. 19 and Chad Brisco in the No. 29 truck of Brad Keselowski Racing, Justin Haley in the GMS Racing No. 24 truck, Todd Gilliland and Noah Gragson of Kyle Busch Motorsports in the No. 4 and No. 18 trucks, and/or Harrison Burton of Kyle Busch Motorsports in the No. 51 truck.
