Mary Virginia Gause

Mary Virginia Gause died March 14, 2014.

She was born Aug. 17, 1923, in Tarpon Springs, Fla., to Atwood and Margaret Fullington. Virginia served her country as a Wave during World War II where she met her husband Ralph. After the war Ralph and Virginia moved to Newton, where they lived for forty years. Virginia and Ralph moved to Indianapolis, Ind., in 1986, where she lived until her death.

Virginia is survived by her son Steve (Cindy) Gause and daughter Susan (Gary) Wiersema. Grandchildren, Wylie and Patrick Gause, Katie Wiersema Phillippi, Jamie Wiersema Smith, Taylor Gause and Nathan Wiersema, as well as five great grandchildren. Her husband Ralph of 67 years, her son, Scott Gause and her parents preceded Virginia in death.

Private services will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Virginia's name may be made to the National Museum of the Marine Corps: 18900 Jefferson Davis Highway, Triangle, VA 22172. (www.usmcmuseum.com/CTA_Donate.asp)
