Gregory J. “Greg” Bohall, 67, of Newton died on Monday, July 08, 2013, at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.
A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Little Sioux Cemetery in Smithland.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Skiff Hospice or to the Skiff Cancer Clinic; memorials may be left at the funeral home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add; Attn: Bohall Family on the envelope.
Survivors include his wife, Veronica of Newton; two daughters, Dynette (Scott) Majors of Lenexa, Kan., and Deanna (Bryan) Smith of Edwardsville, Kan.; his two grandchildren, Parker and Payton Smith; siblings, Carla (Doug) Sutton of Newton, Patty (Jim) Fryrear of Mission, Texas, and Dwayne (Shirley) Groat of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bob Miller.
Greg fought a brave battle with cancer and passed away peacefully with his family at his side. His strength, dignity and grace in the face of the daunting challenges of this disease were an inspiration to all who knew him. The family is grateful for the outpouring support of family and friends. They offer a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Skiff Medical Center, The Skiff Cancer Clinic, and Skiff Hospice; in particular to Dr. Buroker; and nurses Pat, Sheryl and Veronica; Skiff Hospice nurses, Brenda and Jennifer for the wonderful loving care and respect you showed the family.
