Weltha honored during Central Iowa EMS banquet at Mercy

During national EMS Week in May, Baxter EMT crewmember Vance Weltha received a recognition award through Central Iowa EMS during a banquet at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

The award was given to 24 members in the state of various roles and many different services. Weltha currently works for the City of Altoona, but he also assists the Baxter Rescue Unit, showing great commitment by being available for calls even in the middle of the night. Weltha also serves as assistant squad leader to the Baxter Rescue Unit, offering new ideas for the squad.
