Jeannette Jansen, 94, of Newton died on Friday, May 18 at Nelson Manor in Newton.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, at the Christian Reformed Church in Newton. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home. Memorials to the Newton Christian Reformed Church may be left at the funeral home or the church the morning of the service.
Those left to honor Jeannette’s memory are her daughter, Francene (Marvin) VanDerPol of Lakewood, Colo.; four sons, Darrell (Diana) Jansen of Westminster, Colo., Bryce (Sally) Jansen of San Diego, Calif., Mark (Jane) Jansen of Cedar Falls and Dean Jansen of Newton; her 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Ivan (Myrl) Den Besten of Bowling Green, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delmar Jansen; and brothers, Cornelius, Fred and Harold Den Besten.
