Daniel L. Springer ‘SpringKing’

Daniel L. Springer “SpringKing,” 53, of Newton died on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at the Skiff Hospice Monarch Wing in Newton.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at the First United Methodist Church, 210 N. Second Ave. E. in Newton. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.

Memorials to the Skiff Medical Foundation may be left at the funeral home. If mailing the memorial to the funeral home please add Attn: Springer Family to the envelope.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy of Newton; son, Jake Springer of Kellogg; two daughters, Jesse (Billy) Iverson of Newton and Rachael Springer (Sean McDermott) of Newton; his four grandchildren, Taylor Iverson and Carlee, Kinser and McKynna McDermott; parents, Darwin and Cathy Springer of Newton; his sister, Deb (Ted) Van Drimmelen of Newton; his brother-in-law, Kirk (Laurie) Greenman of Mt. Ayr; and many nephews and a niece.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Anna Work and Lula Springer; daughter, Aliza Ann Springer in 1985; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Marsha Greenman.
