The Jasper County Freedom Flight is asking people to try their luck to help send local WWII, Korean and Vietnam War veterans to see their memorials in Washington D.C. at Saturday’s Poker Run and bike ride benefit.
Beginning and ending at O’Kelly’s Steakhouse at 106 N. Main St. in Baxter, registration for the run is from 9:30 - 11a.m. with the last bike out at 11:30 a.m. A $25 wrist band gets you on the run and into the street dance afterward. Tickets for the street dance only are also available for $5.
The run includes stops at the Manhattan, Newton; D&T Tap, Reasnor; Mike’s Lounge, Monroe; Runnells Inn, Runnells; Ozzies, Mingo; and Goat Ranch, Baxter. Food will be grilled at Mike’s Lounge in support of the flights as well.
