Singapore missionaries 
to speak at First Lutheran

Shannon Sandquist will be speaking at First Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 23, at the 5:30 p.m. worship service and Sunday, July 24, at the 9 a.m. worship service.

Shannon, his wife, Lisa, and their four children have served with The Navigators in Singapore for almost four years. They work in university ministry with students at Nanyang Technological University. Their work consists of a variety of ministries, including Bible study and training with students, evangelism and leading service and mission trips to other countries in Southeast Asia.

After this summer visit, they will return to Singapore for another year of ministry.

Shannon grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1983. His parents, Robert and Sarah Sandquist, are longtime residents of Newton.
