Pacesetters make All Iowa Honor Dance Team

Five Newton Senior High School Pacesetters recently were selected to the All Iowa Honor Dance Team. Tryouts for the elite team took place at Ames High School on Sunday, Sept. 12.

Approximately 550 girls from around the state tried out for the honor squad. For the second year in a row, four Newton dancers were selected to the Kick Team, while one dancer was selected to the Pom Team. The All Iowa Honor Dance Team will perform at the Girls State Basketball Championship games at Wells Fargo Arena on Saturday, March 5.
