Snook, Pollard united in marriage

Gayla Snook and Cindy Pollard were united in marriage on June 5, 2010, at Agnes Patterson Arboretum in Newton, with Pastor Peg of Des Moines officiating.

Joanne Jackson was the soloist accompanied by John Mattingly. The happy couple arrived at the Newton Country Club in a horse drawn carriage for a reception with dinner and dancing. Gayla is the daughter of Francis and Betty Snook of Newton, Iowa. Cindy is the daughter of Edwin Pollard of Osceola, Iowa, and the late Mary Lou Wright of Okoboji, Iowa. Gayla is employed by Progress Industries of Newton and Cindy is a registered nurse at Mercy West Lakes in West Des Moines.

The couple plan to go on a cruise to the Southern Caribbean early next year for their honeymoon. The couple will continue to reside at their home in Newton.
