Fernelius, Ferguson united in marriage

Megan Christina Fernelius and Steven Patrick Ferguson were married at the First Lutheran Church on Sept. 6, 2009 in Milford, Iowa, with Pastor Tim Nappe officiating.

Parents of the couple are Marv and Maridean Fernelius of Okoboji and Jack and Jean Ferguson of Newton, Iowa.

The bride’s attendants were Matt Fernelius, Mike Fernelius, Anne Stoever Garcia, Amber Bellville, Angie Ryan and Brittany Lange. The groom’s attendants were Erik Tatge, Kevin Ferguson, Jason Ferguson and Brennen Ferguson.

Megan graduated from the University of Iowa with degrees in English and linguistics. She now works as an editor for the Internet Society’s Request for Comments series.

Steve graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in business. He is currently serving as a captain in the Air Force specializing in acquisitions at Hanscom Air Force Base near Lexington, Mass.

The couple plans to honeymoon in Hawaii in early 2010 and will reside in the Boston area for the next two years.
