Newton Senior High School officials have announced this year’s candidates for homecoming king and queen. King candidates include Roger Braun, Dustin Brisel, Austin Dunn, Michael Flanagan, Joshua Illingworth, Stephen Kalkhoff, Michael Landgrebe, Brian Newton, Christopher Tomlin and Tyler Warner. Queen candidates include Ashley Andrew, Kara Brown, Anna Christopher, Mindi Dodd, Catherine Farver, Natalie McCormick, Sarah Montgomery, Jordyn Thompson, Amy Vos and Christine Wendel. Homecoming week begins next Monday, and the top five king and queen candidates will be announced on Monday. Check the Newton Daily News to see who the finalists are. The king and queen will be crowned during a coronation assembly that beings at 11:10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2.
