The Relay for Life of Jasper County will host a special cancer lap, a moving experience honoring those who have defeated cancer. Join other survivors in the inspirational lap at 6 p.m. June 7 at H.A. Lynn Stadium in Newton.

Celebrating your survivorship, family and friends are invited to join you during this celebration. Survivor registration is from 5:15-5:45 p.m. At this time, each registered survivor will receive a shirt, courtesy of Doyle-DeVoe Realty. Remember your lap begins 6 p.m. and as your name is read you may release your balloon.

The Ceremony of Hope is also a moving experience. Hundreds of glowing luminaires will line the track, each with a name and a story to tell. Everyone gathers to remember those lost to cancer, support those fighting cancer and rejoice with those who have fought the disease and won. Luminaries are available for a contribution to the American Cancer Society and available the event. Prior orders are also available by contacting Jeff Pence at (641) 792-5125.

See you June 7 at H.A. Lynn Stadium for an evening of fun and enjoy an evening of fun, a dinner BBQ, entertainment and memories. If you have any questions concerning the event call co-chairs Roxann D. Wormley at (641) 792-3833 or Debby Pence at (641) 521-9301.
