Doug Bishop to be commended for honor flight service
To the Editor,
Last Thursday and Friday night at the American Legion would be, by most accounts, considered very successful for the World War 2 veterans. It is my understanding that with the help of many great volunteers that this was organized and made successful due to the many hours of work and dedication by Doug Bishop.
At times Doug seem tireless in his community involvements, both here and Baxter. While many of us praise, and thank him, we tend to forget some other very important people playing a role in all of this.
Generally, for every hour spent donating his time, it is an hour spent away from his family. If you know Doug at all, you know he is a very dedicated family man. I would like to take this opportunity to thank not only Doug, for all of his community service, but to thank his wife, DeAnn, and his children Bailey, Kaitlyn, and Nate. We thank you for allowing Doug to do what he does, and supporting him, which benefits many.
