Local Christian school adding Spanish program
Special to the Daily News
The Newton Christian School has announced it will be adding a new Spanish language curriculum for kindergarten through eighth grade students for the coming school year.
The goal of the initiative is to better prepare students to excel throughout their lives, school officials said.
“It has been proven that a second language is easier to learn at a younger age, and we want to maximize this learning opportunity,” said Ginny Tull, the school administrator. “As the world around us changes, we feel many more opportunities will be available to bilingual individuals. We want to prepare our children for success.”
Newton Christian School will host registration for the 2008-2009 school year on Thursday, July 10, and Thursday, July 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. each evening. Those interested in learning more are invited to call 792-1924.
