• Steven I. Jordan, 31, of Newton, is charged with operating while under the influence, failure to maintain control and no insurance after authorities were called to the 600 block of North Second Avenue West at 1:14 a.m. Saturday. Officers were called to a rollover accident and found Jordan, who admitted to having been at a bar. Officers smelled alcohol on Jordan and said he had blood shot, watery eyes. Jordan caused $500 in damage to a tree belonging to the city in the accident. There were several passengers who left the scene and one who complained of pain to his back, arm and face, but refused medical attention. Jordan was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Jerad M. McGinley, 30, is charged with simple misdemeanor trespass after authorities were called to Hy-Vee at 8:04 p.m. Oct. 15. Officers were called on a report of a man who had possibly taken alcohol. They could not locate the person that night but identified McGinley from photos later submitted. McGinley had trespassed on June 6, 2013, and was charged again with trespassing. A warrant was released for him.
