Payton is a genuine man of the people

I’m writing in support of Patrick Payton for state representative. Patrick is a good man and a hard worker. He has traveled the whole district meeting people and listening to their concerns, and he hasn’t ignored the smaller communities. He has knocked on doors in all of them, and has participated in their celebrations and parades. He’s a “regular guy” and a genuine man of the people.

The fact is, voters in Jasper County have a clear choice when it comes to the race for state representative in District 29. On the one hand, there’s Dan Kelley, who was unqualified for office to begin with, having never owned property in Jasper County, nor paid property taxes here (nor put down any family roots here, for that matter) and who has been so ineffective in that office for the last four years that he is losing support from within his own party.

On the other hand, we have Patrick Payton, who worked his way through college and law school, started and maintains his own successful law firm, has a wealth of knowledge and experience in such areas as business and education, and raised a family here in Jasper County, putting his kids through the Newton school system.

Again, the choice is clear. So I hope you’ll vote for Patrick Payton to be the next state representative of Jasper County. We all know he’s the right choice in this race.
