PELLA — Prairie City-Monroe went 1-4 at the Pella tournament on Saturday.
The Mustangs lone victory came against North Mashaska, 21-18, 21-16.
PCM lost to Knoxville, 17-21, 21-12, 15-8, Pella, 21-12, 21-13, Greene County, 21-10, 21-14 and Mediapolis, 21-10, 21-16.
The Mustangs were led by Courtney Van Houweling, who had 20 kills and 40 digs in the tournament. She also landed 30 of 32 serves in play.
Ashley VanGorp contributed 17 kills and 35 digs for PCM while Mackenzie Clarke also recorded 35 digs.
Kayla Jennings posted 14 assists and 14 digs. Katie VandeWall added 12 kills.
The Mustangs play at Colfax-Mingo Tuesday night.
