Forrest (Junior) Matherly, Jr., 91, formerly of Monroe, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, in Lewisville, Texas at Providencia Assisted Living, the place that served as his home for the last two years. A graveside service will at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. The family will greet friends following the service at the Monroe United Methodist Church for a time of food and fellowship.
