Denise Allan integral to recorder’s office

Having spent my working life in room 205 of the Courthouse, and after 42-plus years, it’s time for me to move on. You have allowed me to grow with the position, raise my family, and keep connected to the community. For all of these reasons and many more, my commitment and love for county government is boundless. As I prepare to leave office, it is so important to do what I can to ensure that the citizens of Jasper County continue to receive the services from the county recorder’s office they deserve. I think that this can best be accomplished by electing Denise Allan as your next recorder.

Denise not only has the managerial credentials, having served as president of the local AFSCME and receiving her Deputy Recorder’s Certification with an emphasis in management, she also has more than 23 years of experience in real estate. She played an integral part in the establishment of the “Beacon” web portal. This application allows users to view county and city information, public records, and Geographic Information Systems via an online portal. Denise also has worked with tax credits, real estate transfers, and much more.

On the conservation side of our office, Denise has taken the lead with boat, snowmobile, ATV, and off road motorcycle registrations and titles. The office recently changed from county based software to a state-wide RVVRS system for conservation registrations. Denise led us through the transition and continues to work with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources with this program.

The recorder’s office has a small staff and requires employees to multi-task. It’s necessary for the recorder to be, not only an administrator, but a working member of the staff. Denise has her boots on the ground, she knows the job, and will get things done for you.
