NEVADA — The Prairie City-Monroe volleyball team won three of its five matches Saturday at the Nevada tournament.
PCM beat Atlantic 21-13, 21-17, Newton 25-17, 25-15 and Ankeny Christian Academy 19-25, 25-19, 15-10 and lost to Iowa Falls 21-13, 21-11 and Ballard 21-19, 20-22, 15-9.
PCM’s Courtney Van Houweling recorded 48 kills and 56 digs in the tournament, including a 19-kill, 20-dig performance in the Mustangs’ win over Ankeny Chrisitan Academy.
Against Newton, Van Houweling posted nine kills and nine digs while Mackenzie Clarke had 10 digs. Ashley Van Gorp and Regan Olson both contributed two aces against the Cardinals.
