MONROE — Prairie City-Monroe came up short in its closest match of the season Tuesday night, a five-set defeat to Greene County.
The Mustangs and Rams played three sets past the 25-point mark with the Rams securing the win, 29-27, 17-25, 26-24, 27-29, 15-10.
Courtney Van Houweling posted a team-high 13 kills while Mackenzie Clarke led PCM with 25 digs. Jayci Vos had eight assists and Emma Williams served a team-best four aces on 18-of-20 serving.
It was PCM’s fifth straight loss. The Mustangs play at a tournament in Nevada Saturday.
