The Newton Board of REALTORS Multiple Listing Service released August housing statistics based on MLS statistical information for properties with a Newton mailing address.
The total residential listings at the end of August was 149 with 15 pending and 20 listed. Thirty-three residential properties sold or closed in August with a price range of $15,000 to $285,000.
To date for the year, 169 residential properties have been sold with Newton addresses with an average of 118 days on the market and an average price of $107,421.
In August 2013, 180 residential properties had been sold with Newton addresses with an average of 108 days on the market and an average price of $98,986.
In August 2012, 153 residential properties had been sold with Newton addresses with an average of 125 days on the market and an average price of $84,083.
In August 2011, 123 residential properties had been sold with Newton addresses with an average of 142 days on teh market and an average price of $93,911.
Information does not include multi-family listings but does include single family homes, condo and townhouses.
