Newton Police Department
• Austin D. Hester, 22, of Newton is charged with driving while license revoked, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after authorities stopped him at 700 N. 11th Ave E. at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday. Officers identified the registered owner of the vehicle as Hester and it was confirmed he had a revoked license. While searching the vehicle marijuana and a pipe were found. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
