Iowa State University Extension will host a Farmland Leasing Meeting from 7 to 10 p.m. Aug. 5 at the Newton DMACC Campus.
Topics include current cash rental rates; land values and landowner surveys; The New Farm Program: ARC vs. PLC enrollment decisions; strategies for writing and terminating a farm lease;
Workshops are three hours and include a 100-page leasing arrangement book for each attendee. Registration is require at least two days prior to the meeting but there is a $5 late fee for those who chose to register the day of the event.
Cost for registration is $20 per person or $30 per couple.
