First Lutheran Church is inviting everyone to attend its annual corn boil event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church’s fellowship hall.
Menu items to be served will include Sloppy Joes, fresh garden vegetables, watermelon, cantelope and all-you-can-eat sweet corn.
The event is free and open to the public. Free will donations will be accepted.
The church is located at 309 E. Third St. N. in Newton.
