The Piecemakers Quilt Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Center for Arts & Artists, 501 W. Third St. N. in Newton. (Note time and location change.)
The group will have a short meeting and ice cream treats prior to working on barn board quilts, so wear clothing appropriate for that activity. The ice cream will be furnished, and members are ask to bring toppings and other goodies that go with ice cream.
The 2-by-2 boards will be brought to the center, and larger boards must be picked up by the individual at the lumber yard. Brushes, paint pans, primer, drop clothes and some paint will be furnished. The cost for all included items is $20. Checks should be made out to Piecemakers Quilt Guild. Individuals should bring any other items, such as masking tape (frog tape recommended) and foam rollers, that they feel is necessary for this project.
