Cool drinks for a cool cause

If you are looking for a refreshing beverage and way to support a good cause, visit the lemonade stand on the corner of South Eighth Avenue West and West Ninth Street South. Ashlyn Loupee started the stand with her brother, Chaison, to help support the Make-a-Wish Foundation. She said she got the idea from seeing a similar stand being operated but with those proceeds going to support breast cancer research. Ashlyn said she made $100 Monday, and $32.06 Tuesday after she had been at her corner for six or seven hours. The stand offers regular lemonade, pink lemonade and tea and a cup of each is 50 cents.
