Lucy (Mulé) Carman

Lucy (Mulé) Carman, 78, of Newton, formerly of Middle Island, N.Y., died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. The family will greet friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Friday, July 11 at the funeral home. Memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home please add, Attn: Carman Family on the envelope.

Those left to honor Lucy’s memory are her two sons, Michael (Rebecca) Carman of Liscomb and Carl C. (Cindy) Carman, Jr. of Newton; six grandchildren, Carl C. Carman III, Michael C. Carman, William A. Carman, Mellisa L. (Don) Gullick, Matthew C. Carman and Jeremy M. Carman, all of Newton; four great-grandchildren, Casidee J. Carman, Carl C. Carman IV, Isabella M. Carman and Midori D. Carman; and her two sisters, Annette Trinca of Middle Island, N.Y., and Grace Benfari of Ocala, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
