This weekend the Iowa Speedway will be hosting the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and IndyCar Series races.
Due to the heavy traffic, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office has announced sections of Highway S-74, also known as the Reasnor Road, will be closed prior to the conclusion of the races on Friday and Saturday nights to help with the flow of traffic from the speedway. The closures also will help protect law enforcement officers from any potential traffic hazards.
Southbound traffic from South 13th Avenue and Highway S-74 will be temporarily closed, as well as northbound traffic from South 44th Avenue and Highway S-74 as traffic leaves the speedway.
When it is determined that officers are no longer needed for traffic control at Rusty Wallace Drive and Highway S-74, the roadway will be reopened.
