Newton Police Department

• Jeffrey L. House, 22, of Newton was arrested at 8:59 a.m. Monday at the adult probation office on a Polk County warrant for burglary. He was transported to the Jasper County Jail.

• Donnie W. Ringgenberg, 54, of Newton was charged with criminal trespass after authorities responded to a report at 7:23 p.m. Monday of a person trying to break into a residence in the 400 block of North Eighth Avenue East. Ringgenberg previously had been informed he was not allowed on the property. He was transported to the Jasper County Jail.

• Casey L. Sliger, 36, of Newton was arrested on a Jasper County warrant for probation violation after authorities located her at 4:39 a.m. Friday at 303 E. 16th St. N. #3. She was transported to the Jasper County Jail.

• Dylan D. Thompson, 22, of Colfax was charged with driving while license barred after authorities stopped him at 6:18 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of South Eighth Avenue East for having an inoperable brake light. He also was found to be wanted on a warrant from the Altoona Police Department for criminal mischief and was transported to the Jasper County Jail.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. It is the policy of the Daily News to release the names of individuals 16 and older.
