ADEL — Prairie City-Monroe’s boys claimed the gold medal in the 4x800-meter relay at Friday’s Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Tiger Invitational. The Mustangs finished seventh as a team with 41 points. Carroll won the team title with 122 points.
The foursome of Zach Uhlenhopp, Tyler Dredge, troy Vittetoe and Maverick McAtee posted a winning time of 9 minutes, 1.8 seconds in the 4x800-meter relay race. Vittetoe claimed second in the 200-meter dash in 23.65 seconds for the Mustangs.
Skyler Koder placed second in the high jump, clearing the bar at 5 feet, 10 inches. McAtee was fourth in the 800-meter run in 2:15.57. Connor Warrick finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 43’6 1/2”.
The Mustang foursome of Austin Sneller, Chase Kueker, Koder and Ricky Reeve placed third in the 4x110-meter shuttle hurdle relay race in 1:07.72. PCM’s 4x400-meter relay team of Sneller, Kueker, Luke Greiner and Ronnie Marshall finished sixth in 4:00.65.
The Mustangs boys are at the B-G-M track meet today.
