Students selected for honor band

Thirteen Aurora Heights and Woodrow Wilson fifth and sixth grade band students were selected to participate in the Himie Voxman Elementary Honor Band on March 22 at Centerville High School in Centerville. Students were selected for the honor band on the basis of advanced progress in technique books and outstanding musicianship.  Fifth grade students participated in the first year honor band and sixth grade students participated in the band for second year students. Each group had 90 members. Students were involved in rehearsals and sectionals from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and presented a concert at 3:30 p.m. in the Simon Estes Auditorium.
